Statistics Graduate Degree Recipients Among Top Earners

According to an article in Fortune magazine this week, earning a PhD in Statistics is the #1 Best Graduate Degree for jobs in 2015. Fortune notes that those graduating with a PhD in Statistics can look forward to a median salary of $131,700, in a field with 23% projected job growth by 2022. Students earning a Masters in Biostatistics (#2) can look forward to a median salary of $113,400 with a similar projected job growth of 21% by 2022. A Masters in Statistics (#9 on the list) could earn graduating students a starting median salary of $109,700.
