Professor David Ruppert recently completed the second edition of his textbook “Statistics and Data Analysis for Financial Engineering” which will appear in summer 2015. The book is aimed at master’s students in financial engineering and is used as a textbook in STSCI/ORIE 5640.
Professor David Matteson, who teaches STSCI/ORIE 5640 regularly, has been added as a coauthor. Professors Ruppert and Matteson will be giving a short course based on the second edition at the Joint Statistical Meetings in Seattle during August 2015.
