David Ruppert, professor of statistics, is a contributor on a new textbook out now through Springer. “Semiparametric Regression with R” picks up where authors Ruppert and Wand left off in their 2003 book with coauthor R.J. Carroll, “Semiparametric Regression”, expanding on the statistical modeling method within the context of the powerful R software. Ruppert and Wand helped pen this latest iteration with lead author Jaroslaw Harezlak, an associate professor in the department of epidemiology and biostatistics at Indiana University.
The book “introduces the basic concepts of semiparametric regression and R software, and includes case studies from environmental, economic, financial, and other fields.
Released in December 2018, “Semiparametric Regression with R” is available on Amazon.
