M. Elizabeth Karns is a lawyer and epidemiologist. Her teaching is directly connected to her practice which has focused on statistical evidence, occupational illnesses, assault and harassment injuries, and reproductive harms. She has been involved in every aspect of the data lifecycle from design to forensic evaluations. Her current work on data science ethics brings together professional practice norms, individual values, and organizational goals.
Paul Velleman is a Professor Emeritus with Social Statistics in the Industrial and Labor Relations School. His research is focused on Distance and Online Learning, Healthcare, abd Statistical Theory, Methods and Analysis. He also does work with Data Analysis, Computer Applications, and Computer Graphics.
Tom DiCiccio is an Associate Professor of Social Statistics in the Industrial and Labor Relations School. His research includes the following areas: Econometrics, Theory and models and Statistical Theory and Methodology. Professor DiCiccio teaches courses within the ILR School and the Department of Statistics and Data Science.
