Tutorial in Actuarial Statistics

Prerequisites: BTRY 3080 or equivalent is preferred; others who are interested who have not fulfilled this requirement should e-mail Dr. Earls

Grading Basis: 2 credits, S/U

Course Description: The primary objective of this course is to prepare students to take (and pass) the first actuarial exam, Exam P. We will spend time solving problems similar to those that will be on the P Exam as well as discussing how to approach these types of problems. This class will be particularly useful for students who are planning to take Exam P within the next year. It is recommended that students intending to enter the actuarial profession pass at least the first two actuarial exams before graduation.
